Jared Tendler's philosophy is based as much in his experience as an All-American golfer as it is in his background as a licensed mental health counselor.
Whereas many feel that success in golf is entirely mental, Jared's feeling is that all of the consultation in the world can't overcome bad technique. "Confidence without skill," Jared says, "is just delusion."
But by mastering the mental portion of the game - dealing with the chronic ups and downs that are bound to occur in a round of golf - the mind and body are free to put the best possible performance on display. |
A clear mind also provides the best conceivable environment for improvement.
"Confidence opens up the receptors to success," Jared says.
Jared feels that much of psychology today merely provides a band-aid for a problem, rather than eliminating the problem entirely. His goal is to give clients the tools to actually have long-lasting success, not the process to fake it.
